Albuquerque Coalition for Healthcare Quality Launches Medical Group SnapshotThe Albuquerque Coalition for Healthcare Quality launches Medical Group Snapshot, an online report that shows how participating Albuquerque medical groups are performing in specific measures for diabetes care, cardiovascular care, asthma care, and screening for breast and cervical cancers. This first version of Medical Group Snapshot is more useful for health care providers, providing benchmarks and information they can use to implement quality improvement initiatives. However, patients and employers can use the information in Medical Group Snapshot and the overall website to learn more about quality health care in Albuquerque.

Six Albuquerque Hospitals Join National Quality NetworkSix local hospitals are participating in the Aliging Forces for Quality (AF4Q) Hospital Quality Network. This innovative, nationwide program is led by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). The AF4Q Hospital Quality Network helps hospitals improve how they communicate with diverse patients, reduce the amount of time waiting in emergency rooms, and reduce readmissions to the hospital. Pat Montoya Appointed to Catholic Health Initiative CommitteePat Montoya, the project director for the Albuquerque Coalition for Healthcare Quality at the New Mexico Medical Review Association, has been appointed to the Quality and Safety Committee for the Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) Board of Stewardship Trustees.
